About The Club

Buffalo Wrestling Club is a USA sanctioned club that was re-established in 2012 to serve the young athletes of The Villages Charter School system to teach the fundamentals of wrestling while developing a technique for success. BWC is happy to announce that we are now the part of the Buffalo Stampeders. BWC is now known as the Buffalo Stampeders Wrestling Club. BSWC is open to both boys and girls between grades K-8. You no longer need to be a student of The Villages Charter Schools to be a Buffalo wrestler. BSWC participate in local, regional, state & national tournaments.

Mission:

BSWC provides a positive & safe environment for the wrestlers to excel and learn the sport of wrestling. BSWC coaches are experienced in coaching as well as are certified under USA Guidelines and practices so that each wrestler can develop at their rate while contributing to the overall growth of the team. BSWC wrestlers and their families represent themselves, their group & The Villages Charter Schools and are expected to display good sportsmanship and abide by the core values of the club.

Core Values:

Integrity:  BSWC wrestlers, coaches & family members are expected to conduct themselves both on the mat, within practices, at tournaments or in any other capacity where they are representing BSWC with the highest level of integrity.

Accountability: BSWC wrestlers, coaches & family members are expected to meet the requirements of the program to include attendance at practice and participation in tournaments with the knowledge that there is mutual accountability within the team to help each develops to be better and get the most out of the program

Sportsmanship: BSWC wrestlers, coaches & family members are to display a positive example and good sportsmanship at all time. Profanity and fighting are strictly forbidden and may result in immediate removal from the BSWC club. Parents are expected to reinforce at home, during practice and tournaments this quality within their wrestlers. (wrestlers that demonstrate poor sportsmanship at a competition may result in forfeiture of matches for the duration of that tournament by coaches)
